T Spot Sushi & Tea Bar

Interesting experience…we were the only two people in the restaurant, perhaps just a slow night.  However, it was quaint, relaxing, and a bit romantic in decor.  I thought the sushi was good.  It is BYOB, which who doesn’t love that.  The waiter was pleasant.  The prices were pretty standard.  I wish I would have tried their tea selection because it looked quite extensive.  Having experienced other sushi restaurants in Chicago, I would not recommend T Spot just because I feel as if you can get more for your money at other establishments (Sushi Para II, for example).  Although, if you find yourself in the Northcenter neighborhood and are looking for a sushi restaurant, stop by and give them a try.

Orange Garden

This chinese restaurant is located in the neighborhood of Northcenter.  It is definitely not what you would consider heart healthy chinese food.  However, I thought it was quite yummy and delicious.  The food was ordered as pick-up and when I walked in I didn’t get the feeling that it was one of those dirty, greasy, not exactly sure what kind of meat they used chinese places.  The decor was vintage, but charming.  Orange Garden isn’t pricey, you definitely get your moneys worth. The average entre is under $10.00. The service was fast.  I believe they told us that the food would be ready in 15 minutes.  If you find yourself willing to try this place, which I believe you should, I would recommend the sweet and sour chicken and the vegetable fried rice.

Chicago’s Pizza

Get this…hot pizza, pastas, sandwiches, soups, and desserts that can be delivered to you til 5am, yeah, thats right 5:00 in the morning!  Ok, so yes, Chicago has a million great pizza places covering the city.  However, I have ordered from Chicago’s Pizza multiple times, because it is just so delicious.  I have never ordered the traditional Chicago deep dish from here, because the thin crust has won over my heart.  If you go online to their website, which I have listed below, they offer great coupons.  (Take advantage of them, a number of great deals!)  The prices are comparable to any other pizza joint here in Chicago.  So lets talk food… the pizza is excellent.  They don’t skimp on the toppings or cheese.  The crust isn’t buttery or doughy, but it compliments the pizza well.  I have ordered several salads and they have all come back fresh and delicious.  Overall, I give this place two thumbs up. So go ahead, next time you are craving pizza or pasta give them a call!
